recent activity

I have been working up a storm of random art work YAY! experiment w/embroidery The Rape of Europasketchbook Bunny

I'm still trying to find my place and my style but I really like the freedom of being out of school and not having a time line for a while.

So far untitled

what to call this one? by you.

once again matt was made to model for one of my paintings although he didn't know it at the time. Does any one else think it's weird that I use stair cases as much as I do? They just show up in every thing and I don't know why.

TURN AROUND! #1

TURN AROUND #1 by you.

A little taste of my senior thesis.

So in elementary school I took an animation class which was really this program that gave every one a little green alien and a variety of landscapes and clip art and you could tell him what to do. This is much cooler although it still looks like something made in the 90's by a 12 year old. It's a step up for me so it's cool. Next step, a tablet so I can draw for real.

soundproject

This was a strange experience for me but really cool. The process is fun and it's hard to start because it sounds dumb with only a few sounds and you don't know where to put them. sometimes I wanted to assign the sounds to keys on the keyboard so I could at least try to play them as notes. I think that would have made things too rigid though.

process project

Rules

Step one isolate all character introductions in the episode of Poirot entitled The Mysterious Affair at Styles.

Step two Isolate the same Character descriptions in the audio book of the same name.

Step 3 pair the audio with the visual.

By following this process I am highlighting the discrepancies that exist between the two mediums. We will be able to see the ways in which video can simplify the written word, where it may over simplify from the original text, and where creative choice on the part of a director can altar a story from the original.
